Rand Paul's Budget Cut Proposal... Is This Good or...
Here is the synopsis of Rand Paul’s proposal for budget cuts this year. How great would this be? We could actually begin ending the socialist welfare state and begin to pay back our debt. I still feel more cuts are needed though. LEGISLATIVE BRANCH………………………….$1,283,000,000. (23%) Notes: The Government Printing Office is abolished. ...

Can We Afford To Care?
I thought I would take a look at social programs such as WIC, Medicare, Medicaid, etc… I know this is a touchy subject, but it needs to be looked at. I’m not saying that I don’t care about people… I do, very much. What I am saying is that the federal government cannot afford to care. We are running at a deficit that makes Mt. Everest look like an ant hill. Here are a few...

Conservative or Hypocritical?
Look, I know a lot of conservatives want to make sure gay marriage stays illegal all over the United States. I personally find this view to be more hypocritical than conservative. They make this judgement based mostly on either religion or ignorance/fear. However, if we are to call ourselves conservative we must stick to the constitution right? Well, the constitution protects us from becoming a...

A Living, Breathing Document?
Many times you hear politicians say that the constitution is a living, breathing document. If that is the case then it is subject to constant change… This is certainly not the way it was intended. Furthermore, if this is the case, then it is a part of the government. That would mean that it says what the government says it says. Again, this is not what was intended. I believe that the...

Just A Thought
I have heard many people say they don’t mind small breaches of the Constitution if what we are doing is morally correct. If that is the case, where are the limits? We have seen this throughout history… Every time we give the government a centimeter, they always take 10,000 miles.
