This blog is intended to do just what it says... Revive the US Constitution. We do not look at the constitution as a living breathing document. Living breathing things can change at will. Our Constitution is a document written in stone that may only be changed through the amendment process. We strive to bring about great ideas and spark peaceful debate. If you should choose to debate me, know this... my arguments cannot be broken. We do not want to stir up hate in any way. So if that is what you are looking for, please, look elsewhere. The goal here is to begin reviving America by first reviving the Constitution.

Why We Need the Fair Tax

One could easily sum this up in two words… The Economy! But I will dive into this and try to give a few specific reasons.

How long can we continue to tax our people into oblivion while wasting money on foolish institutions like the IRS. The Fair Tax would eliminate the Federal Income Tax, Corporate Taxes, Capital Gaines Tax and the Death Tax. Not only would it help with the heavy tax burden on the citizens of this country but it would eliminate the IRS. We waste billions every year on a useless institution that we wouldn’t even need if we had the Fair Tax.

Let’s take a look at where we would save. We currently pay a Federal Income Tax right? Yes, but did you know that you also pay the income taxes, payroll taxes and other various taxes that are imposed on the owners of every company whose products you buy. Need an example of this? Look at a gallon of milk. We must first look at the farmer… he pays taxes on the income from selling the milk to the distributor. He also has to pay payroll taxes on each employee… he also has to pay property taxes on his land and taxes on any investments he may have. Now that we have taken a look at the farmer we can apply that knowledge to the distributor and the store that sells the milk. Do you think that these owners just decide to pay their taxes and count that as a loss? If you think that then you are incredibly naive. They simply raise the price of the products we buy just like the milk example we just used. Now that we look at it, we can pretty much guess that at least 75% of the cost of the things we buy are due to the taxes imposed on the businesses involved in the production, distribution and sale of those products. Wouldn’t it be great to save 75% off the current costs of the products we buy? Now the 26% sales tax doesn’t sound so bad does it.

I often hear that a 26% sales tax will not give the government the revenue that it needs. My question to those people is: Have you thought this through? So now I will help with that. By eliminating the taxes on businesses it will not only entice companies to hire, but it will drive foreign companies to create jobs in America as well. With unemployment numbers falling there will be more consumers in the marketplace, buying products and paying taxes. Also, have you considered the amount of illegal immigrants not paying taxes? The fair tax would force the millions of illegals to pay taxes and contribute to the government they currently steal from.

Here are just a few of the reasons we need the fair tax. We will talk more on this subject later
